My family law practice is limited to uncontested matters, meaning situations where the people involved have reached agreement, or are ready to work toward one. I do not handle contested litigation, such as custody disputes or contested divorces. That focus lets me give agreed matters the attention they deserve and keeps the process simpler and less costly.

Agreed (Uncontested) Divorce
When both spouses agree on the terms of ending the marriage, including property division, debts, and, where applicable, arrangements for children, an agreed divorce can be the most direct path forward. I prepare the necessary documents, guide you through filing, and help finalize your divorce decree. Texas law requires a 60-day waiting period after filing before a divorce can be granted, so planning ahead helps.

Mediation
As a certified mediator, I can help parties work through open issues and reach a written agreement without the expense and stress of a courtroom battle. Mediation lets you shape the outcome yourselves rather than leave it to a judge.

Adult Name Changes
Whether you are returning to a former name, adopting a new one after marriage, or changing your name for personal reasons, I handle the entire court process. That includes preparing and filing the petition, completing the required fingerprinting and background check steps, and obtaining the signed order you will need to update your Social Security record, driver's license, passport, bank accounts, and other records.

Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements
A marital agreement is a practical way to set clear expectations about property, debts, and finances, before or after the wedding. I draft and review agreements tailored to your circumstances.
